Egypt Post issues a commemorative postage stamp on the occasion of celebration of Egypt Post Day on the 2nd of January, on this day in 1865, Khedive Ismail purchased the European Post Company which was operating in Egypt and became known as Khedive Post . Since then, the 2nd of January became a celebration day of Egypt Post. 
Egypt Post has been issuing commemorative postage stamps to celebrate this occasion since 1959.
