Egypt Post has issued a Souvenir sheet on the occasion of "150th anniversary of the Al-Ahram Institution", which is considered a prestigious journalistic institution. It was founded by the brothers Bishara Taqla Pasha and Salim Taqla Bey during the reign of Khedive Ismail, specifically on December 27, 1875, in the city of Alexandria. The first issue of the newspaper was published on August 5, 1876. Al-Ahram began its journey as a weekly newspaper, and quickly became a daily newspaper in 1881.
