Egypt Post has issued a souvenir sheet celebrating 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology “MCIT”, October 1, 1999, following the announcement of the former President Mubarak to launch the National Program to develop the Communications and Information Technology (ICT) sector in Egypt.
Since its establishment, MCIT has been responsible for developing, implementing and activating government ICT plans and strategies to enable Egypt to cope with the global information society.
