The Egyptian National Postal Authority issued a commemorative stamp on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of the Supreme Council of Universities. Royal Decree Law No. (496) of 1950 was issued, which stipulated the establishment of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities, headed by the Minister of Public Education, with the aim of coordinating between universities in matters related to study, examinations, university degrees, establishing professorships, equivalency of foreign certificates, academic promotions, and other matters.
