Egypt Post has issued a commemorative stamp to mark 100 Years since the Issuance of the First Airmail Stamp". The issuance of the first airmail stamp represents a landmark event in the history of postal services and aviation. It marked the beginning of a new phase in the development of mail and parcel delivery services with greater speed and efficiency. 
The first airmail stamp in Egypt was issued in 1926, coinciding with the development of civil aviation and the increasing need for faster communication between countries, as well as the arrival of the first direct flight from Europe to Egypt.
