Egypt Post has issued a Souvenir Sheets to Commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the death of the legendary Egyptian singer Om Kulthum, who was given honorific titles as Kawkab El Sharq “Planet of the Orient”, “the Arab League, Elset (the Lady), the Lady of Arabic Singing, Shams Al-Aseel, the Guitar of the Orient and the People's Artist, ….” 
Om Kulthum began her artistic career at the Bosphorus Theater in Ramses Square and Al Azbakeya Garden Theater, where she became famous throughout Egypt and the Arab world. She met the musician Mohamed Abdel Wahab for the first time in an occasion at Abu Bakr Khairat father’s house.
